Line of fluids and lubricants for forming:
• Direct fluids: they are oil based, not dispersible in water. They are used in very severe operations, with deep deformation in very thick materials.
• Water-based fluids: they offer the widest range of application, for very diverse operations of medium and high severity. They are prepared in concentrated form for dilution in the field and thus reduce shipping and storage costs. They offer excellent performance and protection of the die. The residual layer protects against corrosion and in most cases, it is not necessary to remove it before assembling (f.e. welding).
• Evanescent or evaporative: for medium and light forming. They leave very thin residual layers (they can be soft or dry to the touch) which is not necessary to remove before downstream processes.
